Product description: The red and pink versions of this gemstone were commonly used in Russian jewelry during the 18th and 19th centuries, which is why these varieties are often called imperial topaz. Topaz ranges from colourless (white) to yellow, orange, red-brown, light to dark-blue, pink to red, violet and light-green. This is the reason why it can be mistaken for many other gemstones. Natural pink topaz in rare and when they are found, they seldom occur in weights of more than a few carats. These stones came from a find of natural pink Topaz that was very pale in its original form. They have been heated to to bring out the "Hot Pink" tone.
