Product description: Good-quality transparent rubies come from the Karur region of India. Most have a maroon colored hue, although color varies along this gemstone belt. Indian rubies are often included and the internet is often flooded with the worst specimens sold at rock bottom prices. This gemstone was part of a parcel of rough ruby we picked up in Karur on our travels through the region. It is of fair quality and would make a nice pendant/ring for the price.
This stone has some slight fractures on the edges but will not be noticed when set. It has been priced accordingly to compensate.
